TOM RICHMOND

Esteemed MAD Magazine illustrator and one of the leading caricature artists in the world, Tom reflects on how he got started drawing cartoons, the ways in which his creative process has evolved, and the positive impact Wacom creative pen displays have had on his work over the years.


JESSE HAHNE
Jesse Hahne, the president and lead industrial designer at the Center for Advanced Design (CAD) in Elk River, MN, talks about their 3D design process and how they've integrated the Wacom Cintiq. As a specialist in plastics and complex surface geometry, he has conceptualized and created hundreds of products that are used all over the world.

Commercially known as the Pander Brothers, Arnold and Jacob Pander are comic book creators, artists and filmmakers from Portland, OR. Their distinct visual style and unique collaborations with some of the industries' top writers has solidified them as a major creative force in the graphic novel medium. Here they talk about remastering their epic tale ’XXX’ and re-launching it as ‘The Dissident Daily’ web comic.


JASON HATFIELD - GINGER MEGGS

Jason is an Australian cartoonist and standup comedian based in New York City, who at the age of 23 became Australia’s most widely syndicated cartoonist. Here he talks about his journey of taking over the writing and drawing of the iconic, internationally syndicated comic strip, Ginger Meggs, the most popular comic strip in Australia and the oldest one in the world. Jason’s work has appeared in the New Yorker, Variety, Wired, and Mad magazine.


JEFF SMITH
Industrial designer and Autodesk Education Programs Manager, Jeff Smith, talks about what hooked him about industrial design and the connection that he has with his work when he uses the Wacom Cintiq with Autodesk Fusion 360. He also reflects on how the Cintiq Companion allows him to have an office in a messenger bag, freeing him from his desk when he needs to step away.


TIM SCHAFER - DOUBLE FINE

Games industry veteran and Double Fine Productions founder, Tim Schafer, talks about how he left Lucas Arts on a mission to create an inspiring environment for artists, and reflects on their unique process and the award-winning games that he and his staff have created along the way.


JUAN CARLOS QUADRA
Creative director and 3D designer Juan Carlos Cuadra creates concepts and 3D characters from sketches to finished products with his Cintiq 22HD, Pixologic Zbrush and FormLabs 3D printer.


HENK DAWSON
Henk Dawson grew up in Seattle, where he still lives and works as a 3D artist and musician. On the 50th anniversary of the Space Needle, he was commissioned to create three large 3D models depicting the Space Needle's construction which were 3D printed and then installed in the visitor’s center at the base of the Needle. Here he reflects on some of the unique challenges of the project and the positive impact that the Wacom Cintiq had in his workflow.


D’WAYNE EDWARDS - PENSOLE

Former Nike Jordan Brand designer and Pensole founder D’Wayne Edwards talks about the emotional connection of paper and pencil, and reflects on meaningful partnership between designers and technology, such as the Wacom Cintiq and Intuos Pro, which take their ideas to the next level.


ERIC GOLDBERG - WALT DISNEY
Best known for his work with Walt Disney Animation Studios, Eric sat down with Wacom at the Creative Talent Network’s studio in Burbank, California, to talk about his long and wonderful career as an animator and director. Naturally, one of the highlights of his career was working alongside Robin Williams on the film Aladdin, which he describes here in hilarious detail.
